  • Ph.D. in Economics, Management and Statistics (2022), University of Messina, Italy. Dissertation: Model selection and mixture approaches in the spectral clustering algorithm (Supervisor: Prof. Salvatore Ingrassia).
  • M.Sc. in Mathematics (2017), University of Messina, Italy (cum laude). Thesis on numerical methods for fractional differential equations.

Research Interests

Classification and clustering, spectral clustering, multivariate statistics, dimensionality reduction methods, subspace clustering, low-rank matrix approximations, asymmetric data analysis.

 

Academic Career

  • Assistant Professor (RTD-A) of Statistics, Department of Economics and Business, University of Catania (since March 2023).
  • Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome (2022–2023), project on models and methods for the analysis and classification of high-dimensional transition and flow data.
